Bio
I grew up in Nashville, TN, and my fascination with the natural world led me to pursue research in ecology and evolutionary biology. I joined the Hemingway Lab in Summer 2025 and will be studying the proximate and ultimate causes of coordinated social foraging behavior in Neotropical bats. My current study species is Artibeus jamaicensis, the Jamaican fruit bat (pictured at right).

Current position
I'm a PhD student and graduate teaching assistant (GTA) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I am currently a GTA for BIOL 150, an introductory biology course that teaches students how to read and analyze primary scientific literature.
